My goal is to take the stuffiness out of pearls. Before
moving to Portland, Maine, I worked as an assistant fashion editor in
New York City. The experience at the magazine taught me many things, but
most importantly I learned to trust my own fashion sense.
Classic accessories such as pearls never go out of style. The key is to
give them a bit of a twist. The unique shapes and different sizes of freshwater
pearls provide endless opportunities for imaginative designs. Instead
of stringing the pearls on a basic cream thread, I add a bit of color
to each piece by using different colored silk threads. And why have just
a single strand of pearls, why not two, three or six? Each piece is truly
one of a kind, and I always welcome special orders, allowing the wearer
to showcase her individual flair.
From jeans and a t-shirt to a couture gown, a backyard BBQ to your best
friend’s wedding, my freshwater pearl necklaces, bracelets, and
earrings will compliment every occasion. Life is just too short to “save
them for later”, so go ahead, wear them often and feel fabulous.
